This year we again aim to have a strong clinical focus to our conference, this together with sessions that cover current research and basic science this will enable you to have a well-rounded experience with new knowledge and skills to take back to your department. Key sessions will cover topics such as listening fatigue, disruptive technologies, hearing and learning disabilities, telehealth, and improving efficiency.

We are continuing with our streamlined programme with only 3 main parallel tracks, there will be early morning discussion groups and workshops and we are bringing back the popular ‘All You Need to Know’ sessions. New for 2017 are a series of Back to Basics tutorials, these are a series of practical skills sessions that will cover a range of topics aimed at those wanting to refresh their knowledge or for those about to start in a new area of clinical work. Topics included are hearing aid features, counselling skills, testing children on ENT clinics and tinnitus.

On day 1 following the keynote lectures will be the first part of this year’s BAA Awards ceremony with AGM starting off the afternoon. All current BAA members are welcome to attend to hear reports of the work carried out over the year and listen to proposed changes ahead. For non members poster and exhibition viewing continues on from lunch time.
Friday continues with further breakout sessions, with a case study section for open discussions and debate, more ‘All You Need to Know’ sessions and input from our Platinum sponsors. The final part of the Awards will complete on Friday morning. We continue the high quality talks and free papers on subjects such as hidden hearing loss, tinnitus in oncology patients, predictors of recovery in vestibular patients and how to become a head of department!

After a round up of the highlights of the two days by Will Brassington, we will have final words from Sue Falkingham, the Incoming President of BAA.
